AFI KLM E&M Scores Large AirAsia A320neo Parts Contract
The agreement signed this week in Sepang, Malaysia includes component repair services and solutions designed to maximize aircraft availability, such as the provision of a local main base kit at AirAsia's Kuala Lumpur facility.
The airline took delivery of its first next-generation Airbus narrowbody in September this year following an order placed in 2011.
Anne Brachet, EVP Air France KLM Engineering & Maintenance, described the contract as further proof of the quality and reputation of the aircraft maintenance services it provides.
“Following the fruitful partnership with AirAsia X, we are proud to welcome its parent airline, AirAsia, to our client portfolio and will strive to develop the same kind of trust-based partner relationship with it,” Brachet added.
