HAECO Cabin Solutions Completes 737 Retrofit for First Latin American Vector Customer
HAECO Cabin Solutions, a division of HAECO Americas, has announced new Colombian low-cost carrier Wingo as its first Latin American customer for its Vector seat product for its fleet of four 737-700 aircraft.
The Greensboro-headquartered firm said it provided the start-up airline with reconfiguration engineering services, the obtaining of a supplemental type certificate before delivery of the economy class seating.
It said the retrofit process took around three months to complete. Wingo is expected to begin operating out of Bogota Airport by the end of 2016 with the newly retrofitted Boeing narrowbodies.
Mark Peterman, President of HAECO Cabin Solutions, said it helped offer the carrier an “efficient and timely solution.”
“Our business benefits from being nimble enough to customize VectorTM to meet our customer’s needs and from having solid experience in the commercial aviation industry,” Peterman added.
