MAEL To Provide Line Maintenance on Cathay A350s
Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has signed a long-term agreement to support Cathay Pacific’s A350 operation at London Gatwick airport.
Under the terms of the contract, Luton-headquartered MAEL will add the Airbus widebody to its EASA Part 145 approval, allowing its team of engineers to carry out line maintenance support on the aircraft type.
Neil Kirby, sales manager at Monarch Aircraft Engineering, said: “This new contract reinforces Monarch Aircraft Engineering’s commitment to investing in new technology aircraft fleets as we grow line maintenance operations across our network.”
Cathay, the national airline of Hong Kong, begins operating the A350 into Gatwick four times a week from today (September 2), becoming the first operator of the aircraft into the airport.
